Firefighter Applications for Heat Observation Technology
Hothead Technologies is continuing to develop a series of heat monitoring solutions for various industries where heat is a concern.
The HOT System provides a “never-before,” revolutionary means of monitoring a fire/hazmat workers skin temperature, creating the optimal safety alert system for city, county, state, and federal fire/hazmat departments. One of the central components within the HOT system is the wireless RF (Radio Frequency) tag that sends data to a supervisor or assigned worker.

Handheld PDA
The handheld PDA is a tool which supports the ability to monitor the skin temperature trends of every worker. It’s equipped with proprietary software specifically for heat monitoring.
The system is equipped with a custom RF tag and assembly that gathers heat data and transmits it to a handheld PDA. The data can be downloaded to a user’s computer and reports are generated that detail dates, times, and skin temperature readings for each worker. If a worker reaches a dangerous heat stress zone, an alert will show on the PDA as to which individual needs to be evaluated.
